Scarlett Johansson talks about Avengers: Age of Ultron

After reading the script, Scarlett Johansson said that Avengers: Age of Ultron will be dark, dry, and comedic in a comic-book way. She also said that the script feels very cerebral, with a glass-cutting humor to it. The story doesn’t feel at all like being a reiteration of the first Avengers movie, but it actually progresses, from the both points of view of the plot and of the character development.

As some would say, this is to be expected from Joss Whedon.

Next, Scarlett Johansson will be seen reuniting with costars Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. However, it is safe to say that time passes very slowly until May 1, 2015, when Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release.

Michael Pena pursued for Ant-Man role

Following the swift naming of Michael Douglas in the role of Hank Pym, it seems that Marvel really intends to start the production process in May, pursuing actors for the Phase III movie. Thus, Michael Pena is wanted for his tough Latino physique, several sources saying that he will play one of the two villains of the movie.

As the rumors say, the movie will be set during two different timelines, one being in the 1960′s, when a younger Hank Pym will clash with the supposed character of Michael Pena, and one will be set in the present days, when Scott Lang will steal Pym’s Ant-Man costume.

Also, while Pena’s role might seem just one that establishes Ant-Man as a hero, gradually his involvement will become larger than previously believed.

On the other hand, the same sources say that Rashida Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard are not in the cards for the lead female role. This would be probably the role of Janet Van Dyne, Pym’s daughter, who eventually becomes the Wasp.

Justice League will be shot back to back with Batman vs. Superman

Although a director for the Justice League project is yet to be found, this wouldn’t be the first time when Warner Bros. has adopted this tactic, with the Matrix sequels and the H obit movie being the most famous movies shot this way.

The movies being shot back-to-back is actually a very plausible method with which the actors can be convinced of sticking around for a little longer, with their schedules being very busy. Also, Batman vs. Superman is supposed to end with a cliffhanger, which will actually tease and introduce the events from Justice League.

Also, the latest news about Zack Snyder’s sequel sees Dwayne The Rock Johnson also coming in, with an undisclosed role for the moment. The biggest chances are that he will either play Green Lantern or Lobo, with most of the fans inclined for the Rock playing the later character.

Also, it seems that Warner Bros. is seriously considering actor Josh Holloway for another undisclosed role. Everybody believes that he will portray Aquaman, but for the moment this is just wishful thinking.

Johnny Depp = Dr. Strange

Apparently, the actor hast met with the Marvel officials, eying the role of Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange.

Johnny Depp, who confesses to be an avid comic-book reader, is familiar with how Disney works, being the star of many of the studio’s movies, the most famous being the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Speaking of which, the actor is already on board for the next installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which was pushed back beyond the 2015 blockbuster season.

Doctor Strange is one of the exotic superheroes brought by Stan Lee, being able to harness the mystical powers of the entire world, thus being called The Sorcerer Supreme.

If Johnny Depp will indeed be Doctor Strange, it will be interesting to see what kind of approach will the writers take, since Stephen Strange is in his 30s, while Johnny Depp is almost 51.

Michael Douglas is in Ant-Man

It hasn’t been a month since Paul Rudd was confirmed to be the Ant-Man in Edgar Wright. The big question was, however, which Ant-Man will the comedian portray? Will it be Hank Pym? Or Scott Lang?

That question is now answered: Marvel has confirmed that Michael Douglas was signed for playing Hank Pym, thus kind off confirming that Paul Rudd is Scott Lang.

As a matter of fact, just recently, Edgar Wright has just released a picture from Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes episode To Steal an Ant-man, thus hinting at the probable course of the movie. By doing so, he also teased characters Luke Cage and Iron Fist, characters who will be getting their own solo series on Netflix.

Ant-Man star for now Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, and it is directed by Edgar Wright. The movie is scheduled for release in July 31, 2015.

Star Wars: Episode VII - new plot details

Michael Arndt’s older script for Star Wars: Episode VII was focused on the offspring of the heroes from the original trilogy, Luke, Han, and Leia. Because of some differences in opinion, Michael Arndt left the project, with J. J. Abrams assuming the rewriting role.

As it seems, the director wanted to put a greater focus on Luke, Han, and Leia, with their children playing only a second fiddle, because he felt that the audiences should have a last chance of enjoying their favorite characters before they were written off.

Of course, episodes VIII and IX will focus completely on the still unnamed children of Luke, Leia, and Han.

Due to these differences of opinion between J. J. and Arndt, Star Wars: Episode VII’s release date was pushed back to December 2015.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - Bruce Banner and his love interest

This rumor comes from Latino Review and sees Bruce Banner - and possibly his much more calmer alter-ego - actively dating in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While just a rumor for now, this would be another opportunity for Joss Whedon to shine with some witty dialogues. With such a huge cast and such a terrific plot, it is almost certain that this presumed relationship will only be played for laughs, being as light as possible.

As for the contenders for Hulk’s better half, Betty Ross could make an appearance, after seeing the giant green monster battling aliens in New York. How long was it since she last saw him.

However, a new addition to the story might be at hand also, with the “girlfriend” being a Hulk inamorata, who doesn’t know about him actually being Bruce Banner.
