According to Movieweb.com, Samuel L. Jackson confirmed in October that Elizabeth Olsen was set to play Scarlet With in the upcoming sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. A few weeks after this confirmation, Aaron Taylor was taken on for the role of Quicksilver who is the Scarlet Witch’s sister.
Elizabeth Olsen was doing a press conference about the remaking of Oldboy when she confirmed that she had indeed signed on to play Scarlet Witch. According to Movie Web, she also stated that she is happy to be reuniting with Aaron Taylor-Johnson who co-starred with her on Godzilla.
They played husband and wife on Godzilla and then twin brother and sister on Age of Ultron. She said that loves him, his family and kids so she is very excited to be working with each other as it should be fun.
The press asked Olsen whether she had seen any concept art of the movie of if she knew about her costume and she replied that she didn’t know yet what it would look like.
The Marvel phase 2 would be going into production in March of 2014 and should be in cinemas May 1st, 2015. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will star Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Cobie Smulders. It will be directed by Joss Whedon.
