While it isn’t certain that the actor made this statement directly, what he implied in a recent interview was this: his character, James “Rhodey” Rhodes, will appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
It would be expected that a couple of minor characters will appear in the much expected sequel of the Avengers, especially since now almost all the major actors are officially on board. It isn’t known, however, if Don Cheadle will appear only as the colonel, or if he will don his Iron Patriot/War Machine armor.
Also, the actor was spotted on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a movie which is said to have a huge bearing on the second Joss Whedon superhero extravaganza.
Earlier this year, while doing the promotion tour for Iron Man 3, Don Cheadle declared that he wasn’t contacted by anyone for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
For now, it is certain that Avengers: Age of Ultron will star Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The movie will be directed by Joss Whedon, who will begin production in 2014, in March.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released on the 1st of May 2015.
